Everything starts with a sunrise, but it's what we do before it sets that matters - K McGraw -
As cheesily (think I just made that word up) cliched as a sunrise and sunset photograph may be, there is no denying that it is one of the most popular and well loved photographs to look at. Almost everyone loves 'em! Almost. I read somewhere once that "Sunsets are not endings, if I have enough faith they are new beginnings". Perhaps this is what draws people to them at the close of every new day? It's the possibility; a promise of what tomorrow might bring, another chance to try again? Or perhaps it's just to marvel at the jaw-dropping canvas of life's sky that is splashed with the colours that only the sun can paint into the neutrality of puffy or streaked clouds that are strewn by the masterful hands of condensation.
Whatever it may be, it is a distinctly powerful notion that dawn and dusk are spectacularly glorious to watch, experience and photograph.
