Trees are so intrinsically sacred. They are the symbol of standing tall, strong and beautiful against the backdrop of any sky, against the unkindest of any weather patterns, sinking their roots firmly into what lies beneath. I adore them all and when I wish to speak with my Mother I seek one out that calls to me, sit under its canopy and I open my heart.
Yet there is something so mysteriously enchanting about the magic of a Willow Tree. It reminds me of the Tree of Souls in Avatar. She has an intense depth of character, a whispering spirit that beckons, a magnificent gift from Mother Earth in which to fuse with. This morning I played under her long naked branches stripped from the cruelty of Winter's inevitable icy touch and of course, could not pass up the opportunity to snap up a few shots of the sensory overload of my blissful experience. How I see it...I see, speak and write in metaphors because I feel there is much we can learn from nature, people and our surroundings as depicted in my photographs and why I enjoy sharing my thoughts. Not in any attempt to convince or convert you to my way of thinking, seeing or feeling but to share how I see and experience MY mind map of the world. You at no time have to agree, all I ask is that my views and the views of others who wish to express theirs are kindly respected. So relax, get comfy and just enjoy. Happy reading! Archives
