I think humankind (how ironic) are slowly but surely losing touch with their essence, their compassion and their 'human'ness. I watched a naming and shaming unfold yesterday that turned into a mass hysterical frenzy about someone I am friends with on FB. It was so sad to see how human beings turn on each other and out of a 500 odd comment thread of death threats, making the address and phone number public by all these perfect people there were two or three comments that made any common sense about the repercussions of their actions and what they are actually doing and no one cared, the cyber stoning continued on an alarming level of malevolence.

As much as social media has it's pro's it is becoming a slow-releasing poison that is going to kill the soul and joy of being human and a platform from which people jump off their dirty high horses to make the lives of others a living hell. I wonder? Will the mass of frenzied and scorned women only be satisfied once this 'bad' person is dead? Will the bullshit stop after that? This is why I do not like my own species. The levels of stupidity and insecurity just keep increasing. And why I periodically de-activate my account when it just becomes too much.

WHAT are we doing to each other??
