This morning I sat watching three dandelions open from being tightly closed and protected inside their green-leaved shells. I watched in collapsed awe at how each of them took their time to break open slowly in the warm autumn light through their places of safety and become the brilliant puffs of flora that have me weak and completely at their mercy. It brought me to the realisation that being safe is not necessarily the best place to be - you have to open your beautiful self up to the world. You're going to get trampled on but you're also going to be loved, so intensely and the essence of who you are will travel in the wind, like the seeds of a dandelion to places you need to be, to grow into the best version of who you really are. Your core will always remain the same...but your seeds are meant to be sowed into the Earth so that others might enjoy the fruits of what you have planted.
How I see it...
I see, speak and write in metaphors because I feel there is much we can learn from nature, people and our surroundings as depicted in my photographs and why I enjoy sharing my thoughts. Not in any attempt to convince or convert you to my way of thinking, seeing or feeling but to share how I see and experience MY mind map of the world. You at no time have to agree, all I ask is that my views and the views of others who wish to express theirs are kindly respected. So relax, get comfy and just enjoy. Happy reading!
