I found this little bee on the outer sill of my kitchen window yesterday. I noticed she still had pollen attached to her legs and my heart imploded a little with sadness while trying to imagine the story of what might have prevented her from getting back to her hive to deliver her precious goods. Her tale will forever remain a mystery as I could come up with hundreds of ways why she didn't make it but all that guessing would be in total vain because the part of her story I walked into was the end so I will never truly know. It doesn't matter though...all that matters is what she did while she was alive. So I created a tribute in her honour...
"Bees do have a smell, you know, and if they don't they should for their feet are dusted with the spices from a million flowers"
- Ray Bradbury -
How I see it...
I see, speak and write in metaphors because I feel there is much we can learn from nature, people and our surroundings as depicted in my photographs and why I enjoy sharing my thoughts. Not in any attempt to convince or convert you to my way of thinking, seeing or feeling but to share how I see and experience MY mind map of the world. You at no time have to agree, all I ask is that my views and the views of others who wish to express theirs are kindly respected. So relax, get comfy and just enjoy. Happy reading!
