Completely and unequivocally inspired by Ilse Moore's embryonic and breathtaking underwater photographic art pieces I created these for my own joy and delight. Not quite as amazing and dramatic as Ilse Moore, all things genre specific, yet I had the most amazing and fun experience creating these pieces that I can honestly say make me feel as though this is what it would be like to be in the belly of Mother Earth. I am very proud of them and they hold a special place in my heart...water is symbolic of emotion and photography is all emotion for me...it's about the way it makes me feel and to have been able to make these images was hugely symbolic for the turbulence and calm that are part of my current existence. Enjoy :)
How I see it...
I see, speak and write in metaphors because I feel there is much we can learn from nature, people and our surroundings as depicted in my photographs and why I enjoy sharing my thoughts. Not in any attempt to convince or convert you to my way of thinking, seeing or feeling but to share how I see and experience MY mind map of the world. You at no time have to agree, all I ask is that my views and the views of others who wish to express theirs are kindly respected. So relax, get comfy and just enjoy. Happy reading!
